itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>The focus on wastewater reuse is mainly based on the following points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The success of reuse projects depends on multiple factors (the sustainability equation for reuse projects) that need to be addressed in an integrative approach. There is a real need to produce knowledge on these factors and capitalise on what already exists.<\/li>\n<li>Reuse projects struggle to get off the ground, in particular because the decision-making and political level requires support, and the link between the different actors involved in reuse is insufficiently developed.<\/li>\n<li>Assessment tools adapted to local conditions are lacking, as is the fully fledged integration of the reuse of treated wastewater into overall water resource management strategies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-a5mz4-3885019ff2554fe4a6840918b10ca606\">\n#top .av-special-heading.av-a5mz4-3885019ff2554fe4a6840918b10ca606{\npadding-bottom:10px;\n}\nbody .av-special-heading.av-a5mz4-3885019ff2554fe4a6840918b10ca606 .av-special-heading-tag .heading-char{\nfont-size:25px;\n}\n.av-special-heading.av-a5mz4-3885019ff2554fe4a6840918b10ca606 .av-subheading{\nfont-size:15px;\n}\n<\/style>\n<div  class='av-special-heading av-a5mz4-3885019ff2554fe4a6840918b10ca606 av-special-heading-h2  avia-builder-el-11  el_after_av_textblock  el_before_av_textblock'><h2 class='av-special-heading-tag'  itemprop=\"headline\"  >What do we do?<\/h2><div class=\"special-heading-border\"><div class=\"special-heading-inner-border\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-kjsdcffk-d86ae799524ba0866739a6177dfd2945'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Our action aims to provide the public decision makers of the different ministries concerned and REUSE actors with the keys to identify opportunities and develop\/improve REUSE schemes. It makes it possible to study the conditions for successful REUSE based on existing or planned operations.<br \/>\nMore specifically, we document REUSE schemes in areas with wastewater reuse projects focusing on two themes:<br \/>\nthe reuse of water and sludge from small decentralised systems in rural communities (less than 1000 inhabitants) and the reuse of water from urban and suburban treatment plants.<\/p>\n<p>Our work focuses on Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Senegal, Palestine and Bolivia.<\/p>\n<p>Launched in January 2021, this action was entrusted to SCP as international coordinator and to six pairs of national experts.
